| Balanced dipoles placed against spherical phantoms are one of the standard canonical problems, which have been much studied both by computation and measurement. By using one of the balanced dipoles positioned at specific distances from the sphere, the results obtained for the 1g and 10g volume averages can be checked against previous measurements.

Regular measurement with a known power feed to the dipoles enables periodic validation tests to be performed on the system.
Many users will have other devices for which full scanning SAR measurements have been made and these data can also be used to check the results obtained with the benchtop system.
We are progressively collecting measurements performed consecutively on the benchtop system and on a full scanning system offered by Indexsar. The results show very good correlations as illustrated (phones operating in 800-900 MHz bands).
